This external is great for storing music and videos that just take up space on your computer. I have had a previous external for about 5 years but the fan went out, so I bought this Iomega. It is a lot quiter than my old one, and the fan doesn't run whetehr it is loading or not. The white light on the side looks really nice, and the overall appearance is great. It's very compact, and for what I paid, I couldn't be happier. It has a hard shut down on th back as well which is good for convience when I leave for the day.
