This is my first external and first Iomega product. I was considering WD500g but this one was less money so I went for it. Like other reviews it is nice looking drive. The writing speed is ok, nothing special, though obviously slower than FW400. It looks great too right next to my macbook pro. I'm using it as TimeMachine back up storage. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and for my media storage I'm considering 1T Iomega Drive again. Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
