Plug and play unit, with my XP OS. Highly recommended unit. Construction seems to be good, all hardware included. Good price for amount of hard drive space.
Only thing I'd like would be a firewire plug, since my Acomdata unit was similarly priced and includes one.
However, this unit is MUCH easier to use. Does not require "deactivating" or "removing hardware" via software disconnect. When you're ready, turn on....ready to shut down, just turn off. Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
