This hard drive was super easy to install. I just plugged it in and turned on my computer. I have Windows Vista and it was up and running immediately without any formatting required. It has been performing without problem for a few weeks now. Transfer times to the hard drive could be faster but then again, this is my first external hard drive and I don't have anything to compare it to.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
