After using what used to be called a "Firelite" firewire external drive for several years, I find that the Iomega USB backup software has a difficult format to use, does not have a "purge" option, and individual files have to be retrieved though a manipulation of the Back up sets. Not terribly convenient. I rarely use the drive, reserving it in case my Firelite should ever give up the ghost. And, being a USB, it takes much longer to back up.
