I bought the iomega Prestige 500 GB hard drive because of its low price. Now I wish I had spent a little more money on a quality hard drive. I gave this as a gift to my son on Christmas so that he could store all of his purchased music, audio books, pictures, etc. On January 9th, I had to contact Amazon for a return. The drive makes a grinding noise each time it is turned on and all of my son's data is irretrievable. When the drive does show up in Windows, any attempt to access the data on it results in a Windows: "Delay Write Error." I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon but this is the first time I have ever had to return something.
