I bought the Iomega Prestige 500GB drive as a way to backup files from my old external hard drive. I'm a PC user with Windows XP. It worked great straight out of the box, doesn't get too hot, and even though you can hear it running it's extremely easy to forget that it's on because the sound is hardly even there.
