I purchased a Seagate External Hard Drive and it didn't work. After hours of troubleshooting, I got another one sent. That one didn't work either. It had a program that they wanted you to use that was awkward and not helpful.
After consulting Amazon, I bought the Iomega Hard Drive. I plugged it in, the cpu read it and I was able to drag and drop items onto it. After the seagate hard drive, this was a godsend. Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
