This Iomega External HDD works perfectly. I just plugged the usb connector and my pc recognized it immediately no installation software required! I have a windows vista OS so I don't know if this works the same way on a linux or mac PC. The HDD has a nice look so it looks pretty well on a desk and it is fabricated with a strong case. The only thing I would upgrade is a longer usb cord. The power connector has no surge protection so it is recommended to connect it to a UPS device.
