Like many of my generation, I have an extremely (excessively) large collection of MP3s and various other digital media. One of my greatest fears is that the computer on which I store this data would crash and I would lose several hundred GB of music. Although not exceptionally fast, this external hard drive serves to greatly assuage my fears of losing these music files and other personal media files (pictures, home movies, etc.) that are genuinely irreplaceable.
So far, there is not a complaint to list. Aesthetically, the hard drive is quite attractive--a brushed metal case, subtle white activity light, and small stand.
