The disk arrived ahead of schedule, and installed easily. No hardware problems. But it was formatted for a PC. I wanted to create a Macintosh partition so I could use it with both my Mac and my wife's PC. I created two partitions using Apple's Disk Utillity, and tried to format one for the Mac. But it formatted both for the Mac, leaving no partition visible to the PC. I now have an Apple-only disk. If anything, this is Apple's fault, not Iomega's. But the disk would be more useful if it included some flexible partitioning software.
Does anybody know how to make multiple partitions in different formats?Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
