My WB drive crashed and I needed another drive. I read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. What a mistake. Amazon should really take this brand off the site. The drive is not formatted when you get it, not easy to use at all. I suppose I should have paid attention to all the reviewers that had to call for technical support on an External Hard Drive....Really? It should not be that difficult to use. I could of put up with that because I am fairly technology savy, but it also runs EXTREMELY hot - it only has one little vent in the back, which although I like the look of the drive, it is not practical. I talked to a guy in our tech dept and he read that this brand uses Seagate, Maxtor, and Samsung hard drives and just repackages it. You never know what you are getting. I don't know if that it true or not, but I say pass on this one....I ended up getting a 1.5 TB from Costco for cheaper. Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
