just fyi, when writing a review, please write share which model you purchased because for some reason amazon bunches up the 500gb and the 1tb external hard drives.
this product is great, this is the first time buying and iomega hard drive and i was skeptical. it has an on and off switch which i never use. i leave it on all the time and the first time it ran it was very hot, but after that its no hotter than room temp.the usb cord is a little short so expect to have it right next to your computer. id just wish i got the 1tb.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
