Got this drive about a month ago and it's working fine and is quiet. Install was plug and play. Just using it as a back-up drive and for my music files. I'm not using back-up software. I would purchase another one.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
