Since I already have a good and so far reliable iomega 500GB external hard drive, I decided to buy another one even bigger for all the media I have.
My logical option was iomega again since is the best price available and I had goo experience with previous products.
The problem with this disc is basically the enclosure. It's not only that you can actually see the low quality materials (even though in pictures it looks really neat and uniform), but in less than a moth of use it's not working anymore.
The disc itself is fine. I just moved (I lost warranty but since I bought it the US and I live in Venezuela, opening it and getting it to work right now was my only option) the HD to my previous enclosure (leaving one 500GB as an orphan until I buy another enclosure), but the logic borad on the iomega prestige is somehow damage.
It'd turn on but it never mounts on the computer. I tried some other disks in that enclosure but it didn't work. Really poor quality from iomega this time.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
