This is not the only 1TB external out there. What sets it aside of all the others is the price. It is very inexpensive. It is also aesthetically pleasing, it fits in well with the rounded body silver motif that mac has goin' on. I am not a computer hardware savvy guy, I just wanted plenty of space to drop some files into. And this is just that! Yes, you have to do a little work and format it for the mac.. small price to pay for the small price that you pay! haha! I had it up and runny within minutes after I opened the package.
