Not being a techie, I will not review the tech. Being an everyday user, I will share with the community my impressions on the performance. This unit feels and looks sturdy, right out of the box. The setup on windows XP was a breeze, and the transfer rate for data is more than decent (100 gb copied in less that 1 hour). Now I will try to patch it to the DVR in order to get all my HD shows on it. Any suggestions? Last but not least, Purchasing experience with Amazon is great... although USPS, not so much. The first unit was lost, and Amazon sent a second one, free of charge and overnight!!! The price lowered $5 the day I received it, so I need to tell amazon to give my $5 back...
