This isn't really a review of the Iomega Prestige 500 GB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive, but rather a lament that it comes with virtually no information about how to use it once it is plugged in, turned on, etc. All of that is easy. However, neither the material included with the unit, nor anything I could find on line through Iomega or related user conversations (and spending a large amount of time looking!) could provide me with a simple guide as to how to actually back up files and otherwise make use of the the external hard drive. This seems to me to be a significant flaw. While certainly no techie, neither am I entirely stupid about computers, but I do need some guidance.
