Bought this unit to back up a very new Dell desktop. 1st attempt to backup froze, never completed. 2nd attempt failed again. Next time I turned on my computer it wouldn't boot because operating system was missing! Fortunately managed to boot from the recovery partition on internal hard drive. Bought the darn thing to protect my data and instead it almost cost me everything. In addition to crappy product, iomega tech support is horrible! 3 different clueless techs, 3 hours plus of online chat, which is the only free option. They want to charge $25 to talk to them by phone even though the unit was brand new and didn't work right from the beginning. Get real. Ultimate result? Not supported for Vista 64 bit even though iomega website says all versions of Vista are supported and software is specifically stated as 64 bit only. Back in the box, back to the store, never again to darken my door!
