Fantastic piece of kit.
Does what you'd expect: plug it into the mains, plug it into a USB port on the PC and it's immediately up and running.
What I didn't expect is how much FASTER it is than either of the 2 year old 500G hard drives I've been running (one is Iomega, the other Maxtor). Firing up a shortcut on my desktop to a file or folder on the Iomega 1TB is immediate and near as makes no difference to accessing something on the internal hard drive. It's also much quieter than any of the hard drives I've had before (external or internal).
So now the Iomega Prestige 1TB is my main storage for my music files and photos, with the two 500 gigs acting as the backup drives for that.
Always have a complete backup of your music files, folks. If you lose the drive with them on, just think of how long it took you to rip all your CDs and how much you've spent on downloads from Amazon, iTunes or wherever ...... fancy doing that all over again?
