The Iomega has worked flawlessly as a backup device for 6 months now. Very good performance for a USB hard drive, and comes on line quickly upon powerup. I occasionally use it for online activity (e.g. burning a CD, viewing photos, etc) however I should stress strongly that this is a backup/archive device, not a 100% available disk drive. If the unit is left on more than 20 minutes it becomes VERY hot and I would have to assume this might negatively impact its reliability if used on a continuous basis.
