Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275 Right now

I had to run to a brick and mortar store and grab my Iomega 1 Terabyte drive, the last one they had, and make a backup of my data before I shipped my PC off to be serviced due to a glitch with the display. Ever since I had the computer set up to do hourly and daily backups to the drive (TimeMachine on Apple's computers). I chose this drive due to it's capacity and small physical size. So far I have NOT had a problem with it.

One comment I will make about it, compared to a Firewire drive I use for video, the metal casing on Iomega's USB 1 Terabyte drive DOES get hot. Also, today people may not care as much as back in the day. I'm a purist when it comes to claimed sizes. However it is not a TRUE Terabyte (1024 meg). You only get 1000 meg before the drive is formatted.

Speed for writing and reading files is great. No lag issues. I have not had problems with loss of files or headers on files.

I would recommend this drive if you need extra storage and are on a budget. Have had NO problems with it.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
