I've had my Iomega Prestige 1tb for 8 or 9 months now and have basically been using it on a daily basis, often for 8 hours at a time. It's on almost as often as the rest of my computer.
This is the first external drive I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to, but it's been a perfect little device giving me not one single problem in all the time I've had it. It works exactly as advertised and expected: The initial setup is as simple as it gets, it's silent, it's fast, it's reliable, it's got a seemingly infinite size storage capacity, it looks slick, it's physically small and it's incredibly affordable.
The only downside was that I had to pay a little extra because I'm a Canadian resident and can't order electronics through Amazon.com. But that has nothing to do with the product itself. After shopping around online, Tigerdirect.ca had the best (Canadian) price.
