This product says that it is compatible with Windows XP, and it wasn't. It is supposed to be plug and play.
When this didn't work, I went to troubleshoot it on iOmega's site.
I followed the easy instructions, and when that didn't work, I did an online chat with someone.
When THIS didn't work, I then went through some advanced troubleshooting instructions (I was in the disk management screen trying to assign a correct USB port to enable the device to show up).
THIS didn't work either, so I called the number on the box. The number sent me to the website to set up an appointment to speak to a representative on the phone.
I went to the website, and in order to make an appointment on the phone, they asked me for my billing information, because the call was going to cost me $25.
Needless to say, I sent this back.Get more detail about Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 34275.
