This drive is a great option for secure and robust backups. I partitioned it, half for backup and the other half for media (music, movies, TV shows, etc) and it works great. Although it would be nice if it could be powered through the USB (perhaps a dual headed USB cord) for enhanced portability, and Firewire support for faster transfer speeds but for what it is, it is a fantastic piece of hardware. Recommended for anyone who wants to have room to grow, particularly for the 1.5 TB model.
